In Port Harcourt, Nigeria, EIK amphibious excavators are being used in combination with large dredges to reclaim material from marshlands surrounding the city to create new real estate and improve drainage in the process. These excavators were equipped with standard reach fronts and large digging buckets so they could move the most amount of material in the shortest amount of time. The amphibious excavator’s primary function on the project is to feed the dredge and to shape the banks.
